Sadako had taken care to dress as plainly as possible. She pinned back her long black hair with bobbypins and an elastic band. For her clothes, she wore a simple black dress, as white would likely show blood.
And she knew there was going to be blood.
Once she got to the door, she smiled at Sweeney before putting on her shoes. There were moments where he was tender, moments where she could afford to kiss him on the cheek and let him know that she was there for him. This was not one of those moments. She knew that he was out for blood, to make the gutters run red with his name, and that suited her just fine.
"I'm ready to go." She didn't need anything; he had housekeys, and she needed nothing else. Her brain was her own best weapon. "Shall we go wake everyone up?"
