Anne echoed his sentiments on a sigh as she let her head fall back. His lips on her skin didn't feel different so much as... well, different. She could feel how gentle he was being and the whisper of her name made her smile softly.

"Shhh," she whispered, lifting her head again and shifting in his lap again. The tears in his eyes made her feel his words even more deeply and she placed a kiss on his forehead, then his mouth. Her hands had moved, and one slipped down the front of his shirt. He was so solid and he made her feel small and fragile next to him.

That same hand found it's way under his shirt and she bit her lip at the feel of warm skin. Another deep kiss silenced anything else she might have said as her fingernails skated across his skin lightly.
