Sam thundered down the stairs at breakneck speed to get to the door. He flung it open and saw Anne.

His Anne.

And she looked....lovely.

"Oh, baby." he managed to get out, before gathering her up into his arms and holding her tight. Too much time had passed between them, and he'd missed her terribly. He inhaled the scent of her hair, still amazing to his senses as he carried her inside the doorway.

"I missed you, honey." He whispered to her, still holding her tightly and fighting back tears. Today had been another one of those rollercoaster days with his emotions. "M'glad you're here."
