It was so strange that he looked like Patrick to her. She couldn't really imagine Patrick doing these things though. Couldn't he find some other girl to torture? No. That was wrong. It was better Veronica then some girl who wouldn't come back from this.

"I don't know how it works, and I don't think all your prodding and slicing is going to get to anything." She said. If he really wanted to know if she was different...couldn't he test her blood?

And the fact that she was seemingly immortal left a sinking feeling in her stomach, she'd have to watch all the people she cared about...die.

"Can't we just say I'm a big freak and call it case closed?"
