And unfortunately for Veronica Mars, she'd picked tonight to go for a walk, away from the building where her office was. She had a lot on her mind and she was frustrated that Weevil seemed to be frustrated.

She would have been better off staying in, but Veronica and trouble seemed to go hand and hand most of the time. And she happened to walk by the alley just as the man was killing the woman.

Shit. Maybe he wouldn't see Veronica. She didn't scream or anything, there was nothing she could do for the woman, so she started to walk away.
