He watched her, waiting for her reaction. Everyone always had their own. Some ran, some screamed, some hated, some feared, some accepted, some, anyway.
"I am who I am... for good or ill, from now until... I have no idea when."
He shook his head as her phone went off, then blinked at her words and her hand, and stared for a second, before he smiled.
"Thank you, Emily. I get by, most of the time, and manage to keep my other self bottled up most days, but I wanted you to know what you might be getting yourself into, just being around me."
That sorrow was there, but a smile as well.
"It's nice to find people who don't immediately run away, or freak out. Both are a little hard on the calm. I just want... to be me, and to do my best to help people, if I can... and not hurt people, if I can't."
