There was a rustling on the other side of the door, before it opened. Zira had a book in his hand, and the room had been put back in order, books neatly stacked against the walls and on every available shelf. Cassiel lay on a blanket in the middle for the floor, chewing on the ear of a stuffed animal.
Zira smiled at Crowley and leaned down to scoop Cassie up. "I didn't realise we had company, dearest." He smoothed a hand over Cassie's head. "Give me a moment to lay her down." He nodded politely at Alex, and rushed out of the room, certain this man was not someone he wanted the baby exposed to.
