Who: Father John Winchester, Sister Samantha Marquez What: A sermon When: Sunday afternoon service Where: The church Warning: Only if you're one of the wicked.
Standing on his pulpit John Winchester surveyed the crowd. Attendance had been falling at the church of late, which only made him more determined to work harder. There were souls to be saved, and it was his duty to keep his flock from eternal damnation. A smile and nod to Sister Samantha, who was on organ duty, for the second time today. Of course the first time had been a different organ altogether.
"My children, we are gathered here today in the name of the Lord. We all know one, or many who have fallen into league with Satan, however we stand strong, united in our love for Jesus. It is through Jesus we can be saved. Let us pray!"
Bowing their heads he led them in prayer, a chorus of excited "Hallelujah!" Breaking out from the crowd from time to time. Samantha had done the same on the altar early this morning as dawn was yet to break.
"We can all defeat the devil if we are strong. Strong in our love of Jesus. Amen brothers and sisters!" Feeling the will of the Lord overtake him John felt dizzy, momentarily fainting and landing on the alter as the crowd gasped. "Let the Lord in! Feel his goodness! There are demons here, they must be fought! Fought and killed if it takes everything we are! Out Satan! Out!!!!!!"
His strength fading he dismissed the crowd following communion, reassured he had done another week's work in the name of God.
