Joanne didn't move away when he finally turned towards her, giving him the time he needed to gather himself together somewhat. Yeah she was definitely lucky she wasn't going to have to make the bodies disappear, and thanked .. someone or something for that. When he removed the mask, she didn't flinch, or draw back, maybe because she knew she couldn't, even if she had wanted to. He needed her more then ever, and she wasn't just going to leave him like this.
