There was a man in the dining room, judging from his reaction she must've been a surprise to him as he was to her.

She straightened up, showing when you're nervous wasn't encouraged at the academy. She tried to keep her voice steady and polite. "Excuse me, I know this sounds silly but, who're you, what am I doing here and..what's up with this?" She held up her left hand with the wedding ring.
