At first Sol was afraid that Dean wasn't going to take his son. If anything she was persistent. It wasn't long before John was in his Daddy's arms. His little eyes had opened just barely to look up at his Daddy. When she saw the look in Dean's eyes as he looked down at his son she'd never been more proud of him.
Sol knew right then that nothing was ever going to take their baby away. Nothing was ever going to break their family apart. Dean was the strongest person she'd ever met and she was no chump either. She swore to herself that nothing would ever hurt their baby boy. After all, whatever it was would have to come through both of them first.
She squeezed Dean's knee to get his attention. Not really wanting to ruin the moment she said, "Do you want to go tell everyone? Or just take him out there?" Sol wasn't sure whether or not John was supposed to leave the room yet. The doctor and nurses hadn't said anything. Really, Sol wanted to get out of the hospital. She was kinda tired but she was fine. Once they said that John was okay to go she was going to make sure they went straight home.
When Dean handed John back to her to go get their friends she smiled at him when he kissed her quick on the lips. "I love you and I've never been more proud to be with you." She told him that not expecting anything in return just wanting him to know how she felt at the moment.
Once he'd left to go get the others she smiled down at her beautiful baby and said to him quietly, "You're about to meet the rest of your family for the first time John Harrison. All of them are a little weird but you'll get used to them." She kissed the top of his head and marveled at the smallness of his little fingers. "Nothing will ever happen to you with your family nearby. You'll be safe with us always. I promise you that."
