"You guys can talk about it..." She winced as another contraction took her over. "It helps keep my mind off the obvious." Sol wasn't going to admit it but the pain was pretty bad. She couldn't even think what it'd be like for someone that wasn't a slayer. Also, she wondered why the meds hadn't really kicked in that much yet.
After listening to them talk for about an hour the pain started to get worse. Sol was glad that they were talking about it because it seemed like Dean had lost his deer in headlights look and he was more calm. That would all be changing soon. Very soon.
Sol had a contraction, and it was the biggest one yet. She screamed and said, "I need to push!" The doctor had told her not to start pushing until he was there and had told her to start. Sam stood up and said, "I'll go get the doctor."
That was when she turned to her friends and said, "As much as I love you guys, I don't think you wanna see my junk get ripped open." Sol pretty much wanted Dean there only. And, on the top side of the bed. She was sure that Faith understood and Em probably would too.
Sam brought the doctor in and then he left with Faith and Emily to go to the waiting room. The doctor checked her over and smiled at her. "Yes, I think it's pushing time. Are you both ready to have this baby?" Sol wanted to scream 'duh!' but she managed to keep her mouth shut and just nod vigorously.
