"Ugh. I suck at this game." Emily complained but since it had been Dean's idea she decided to play anyway. After all, she was gracious and she had told him to name the game. Now she was stuck with it.
She tried to eyeball the cup. Emily had always been good at Math and she thought that would somehow serve her in games like pool and quarters but it hardly ever did. As usual, she was always the first one who got drunk while the rest of them laughed at her and then eventually put her to bed. She wanted to point out to him that last time he'd been the one to get drunk and she had put him to bed but she had promised to never talk about that again and so she kept her mouth shut.
The quarter bounced off of the table and landed on the floor about three feet away from where Dean was sitting. She frowned as Dean laughed, and without a word he picked up a quarter and expertly plunked it into the glass. "You are such a cheater." Emily said, even though she had no grounds for such an accusation.
Picking up the glass, she pulled the quarter out and shook it off. "Do you know how many germs end up on money?" She asked him but from the look on his face he really didn't care. Tipping her head back she took the shot and thankfully, this time her eyes didn't water. She hoped they could switch to vodka soon.
"Can we play something else?" She asked him. "I know, I know. If you're really set on quarters we can keep playing but I'll just end up getting drunk really fast and then you'll be watching TV movies all by yourself." She pointed out to him.
