Entry tags:aziraphale, shang tsung, sonya blade

Who:  A soldier, Angel and Demon-Sorcerer..there's a punchline somewhere
What:  giving away some-a lot- of books
Where: Tsung's mansion
When: Monday night
Warnings: possibly none

By the time Sonya got home, changed into some 'civvies', got some dinner ( with the vitamins), it was just time for Aziraphale to arrive for the books.

She waited by the front hallway, skimming over one of the books that Dr. Cameron gave her, one of those generic 'pregnancy and you' books. It was medical and not the 'sweet, sentimental' sort with pink and blue images.  Reading it however, Sonya wasn't sure if she really had the 'stomach' for what she had to look forward to.

She was reading in one of the more cozier, smaller rooms of the first floor, when Charles came up to her.

"Madam, a Mr. Aziraphale is at the door. Shall I let him in."

Sonya got up, yawning a little. "No, I'll show him in myself."

He was dressed casually, having just come from the recording studio. He pushed a stray bit of hair from his face and greeted Sonya with a smile. "Good evening, Sonya," he said with a slight bow.

"Evening" She returns the bow. She's in a t-shirt and shorts. "Tsung's in the grand hall, if you care to meet him..though he would insist on doing so."

"Of course," Zira nodded. "Lead the way."

Shang Tsung was in the Grand Hall of his mansion, and he was dressed in his finest apparel (as was usual this time of day.) His hair was neatly brushed back, and his black and yellow robes looked nice and crisp. He saw Sonya, and Azira smiled a bit.

"You must be Aziraphale," he said as he examined him. He was in casual apparel, but he was more aesthetically pleasing than most he had encountered in the realm. "Sonya has told me quite a bit about you." He held out his hand to Azira.

"Call me Zira, please. Aziraphale is quite a mouthful." Zira smiled as he grasped the offered hand. He held it firmly for a moment before releasing. He felt power in the touch, brief though it was.

"Great, introductions are done. Now for business, I get to show Aziraphale the basement." She led him through to the back of the house, the place had the near grandness of a cathedral on a budget, only without the holy images. At the back of the house were the stairs leading to the basement.

Sonya opened the door and led them down the stairs, the basement serving as a place for wine and other dry foods, the next room for storage. Through empty, it was tall enough for about ten stacks of books, each about 5 feet tall.

She grinned. "I told you, it was a lot."

"Oh my, you were not exaggerating." Zira stepped into the room, feeling almost reverent. He reached out to touch the spines of the closest books. "And you're certain you've no need? They're all for me?"

"No need at all," She folded her arms over her chest. "There's no room in the library for them, and I'm still working my way through Tsung's books, and those are just the ones in english, some of the older scrolls are written in old chinese, so I'm gonna have a time translating them."

"So these are all for you, I think the guy that Tsung replaced used them just for 'decorative' purposes, or the room wouldn't have been so 'unused'.

"I could, if you needed help, I mean." Zira gave her a tentative smile. "I would be delighted to help you translate."

"I'd appreciate it, but really..Tsung said he'd help me. Most of the scrolls, from what he told me, are ancient and include a lot of secrets in sorcery-he's rather paranoid of the wrong person reading them."

She looked at the books. "Can you move these, or will you need help?"

"Of course," Zira nodded. "The offer stands, if you come across something I may be able to help with." He tilted his head, looking at the books. "With a bit of concentration, I can send them to my own library, without having to haul them all by hand."

She can't help but smirk, hiding her concentration. "I thought the same sending them to the basement...but that along with the arranging of our own library, damn near killed me-the load was heavier than I thought."

"Course, recovering kind of tipped off Shang Tsung that we may be expecting-it's kind of sad when the father knows you may be pregnant before you do."

"Oh, dear. Yes. I can see how it might be difficult. I assure you, though, I can manage. Or drag Crowley into matters, and have him assist."

"Good luck with that."

"Whatever you do, may want to try it now and get it over with."

"Of course." Zira nodded. Stepping further into the room, he focused on one stack of books, a hand reaching out to touch as many of the spines as he could. Moving them one at a time would be easy enough, but grueling work, given the number of volumes to be moved. Rather than attempt to transport an entire stack, he started low, aiming to move just ten of the books. It would take a while to complete the task, but he thought it would be worth it, to go slow.

Shang Tsung came walking in the room, to check up on them. He had forgotten to offer to assist them. He came in and saw Azira attempting to move the books. He didn't say anything, as it looked like the angel was trying to concentrate. He stood back and watched... it would be nice to see what the Angel could do.

Sonya watched and waited for Zira to finish, feeling a twinge of jealousy for the ease at what he was doing..she should've probably tried something like that when renovating.

Though Shang would probably put her under 'room arrest' if she tried anything of that scale again in her 'condition'..Jesus, made it sound like she had a serious illness.

Speaking of the sorcerer, she saw him from the corner of her eye. She nodded in acknowledgement.

He was exhausted by the time he'd finished, but he wasn't about to pass out on the floor. "Well, that was quite a work out," he smiled.
