Who: Ganieda and Wall-E
What: Finding an ex-robot in distress.
Where: Central Park
When: shortly after the conversation on the board.

Ganieda walked through Central Park, trying not to be distracted by the great number of trees in the middle of the great monstrous city. She remembered how frightening it was in the middle of the city, but perhaps this...former robot...might be even more frightened by the proximity of so many trees.

So she looked around, her sharp eyes scanning for where this young man would be.

Wall-e was sitting not on a park bench, but rather under it, picking at a leaf he'd found on the ground. The man looked quite ridiculous, curled up under the park bench but he didn't know what else to do! The world frightened him. He wasn't a robot anymore. He had fingers! Toes! And other human parts!

And he was hungry, which confused him, so he popped the leaf into his mouth.

	Ganieda had no room to talk about looking ridiculous, she felt. So when she spied him, she walked up to the park bench and crouched down a little. "Wall-e?" Her voice is soft and pleasant. 	"Hi." He smiles a little at her, head cocking to the side as she spoke. "Yes..." It was obvious he was having some trouble speaking. Typing was fine but when he actually had to use these new vocal chord things? He had a bit of trouble. Crawling out from under the park bench, he sat on the ground up straight, offering her a leaf. Ganieda tilted her head and looked at him. "No...that's a leaf. We don't eat those. Are you hungry?" She brushed her skirts beneath her and sat down.

She was still rather unused to these strange meals so she usually kept something familiar in her bag. She took out some bread--it was plain, but at least it was something--and offered it to him.

"I would have brought more but I did not think of it," she says apologetically.

"Do you have the driver's license?"

"That's a leaf." He repeated, tilting his head, "We don't eat those. Are you hungry? Yes." Smiling proudly he set the leaf aside and took the bread, pulling a bit off before popping it in his mouth. His eyes widened.

"MMMM!" Smiling he began eagerly gobbling down the bread until it was gone, licking his lips and fingers after before the request for his driver's license reached him. Glancing around he spotted it under the bench and reached over, grabbing it and offering it to Ganieda.

	"Yes. Very better." Wall-E answered with a little smile, bouncing a bit where he sat, watching her. "What your name again?" He asked after a moment, wanting her to pronounce it so he could learn to say it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Ga-Ga-Gan-" He made a face, trying to figure out how to make different sounds. "E-e-da? Ga-E-Da?" Wall-E smiled brightly, hoping to have gotten it right. When she looked down at the driver's license though he mimicked her, seeming interested. He'd not replaced anyone of importance. 	That was close enough. "Very good." She doesn't expect anyone to know those old Latin names anymore. At least she didn't use Gwenddydd as often. People knew even less about old Welsh names. 	Ganieda's brow furrowed in an agony of sympathy for him. "No...I am sorry. I miss my home too. Things here are very strange to me still." She looks again. 	"All right." She stood up. "My brother is waiting with the car...we'll be able to help you home." Ganieda felt worried; she did not want to just drop him off at home. "Oh...keys. Do you have keys? Ganieda smiled. "Yes. Now. My brother is waiting with the car, so we can find your home, and I'll help you a little bit."

The ride to his home took much less time than expected--of course Merlin knew where he lived, or at least thereabouts. Ganieda was quite proud of herself for not closing her eyes as they drove.

"I'll come with you and help get you settled," she said when they arrived, patting his hand as she opened the door to get out of the car.

	Wall-E was fascinated by the car ride, his eyes wide open as he looked at the window the whole time. Finally, when she patted his head he smiled and got out of the vehicle as well, looking around. "Home?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Ganieda went to the front door and showed him the key, showing him how the teeth went into the keyhole and how to turn the key so that the door opened. She's actually quite impressed that she knows herself. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
