Who: Eric and Navi What: Ice cream after dark! When: Tonight Where: New York
Eric was doing something he hadn't done in ages. He was actually leaving the run down cathedral he'd taken residence in, with its leaking ceilings and echoing halls.
He'd holed up there months earlier with some books and a run down portable record player and hadn't come out since. He'd needed the time to think, to get his head around the fact that the very thing he'd come back from the grave for had suddenly become impossibly beyond reach. He read a lot, tried not to think about Shelly or the four thugs, and listened to lps over and over, until the rain warped them one night and they became unusable.
Even for him, the solitary existence had gotten a little old. So off he headed to see a faerie about some ice cream.
He took the rooftops to get there, the crow trailing behind him. It was the fastest way to travel really. Then it was just a matter of going down to her floor and knocking on her door. He had his hands in the pocket of a long black trench coat, and that striking, peculiar makeup on his face. And for the first time in over a year, he worried for a moment about how he looked. He didn't want to scare her, after all.
