She looked up at his question with a bit of surprise. Jamie had seemed concerned for her ever since Brodin disappeared and he'd tried to be supportive, which she'd been grateful for. She felt like holding on instead of pushing anyone away but she didn't want to intrude on his space. And now he'd asked a serious question. She knew how he didn't like serious conversations, so it meant something to her that he'd asked.
"Yeah," she said, in a tone that said she might still be working on getting there. She sounded thoughtful, maybe a little sad or worried, but she did sound pretty okay. "I guess. Mostly. I don't know." Mia swallowed, looking mostly down. "I have to believe he'll be back, you know? We've gone for awhile without seeing each other before, not knowing if we'd see each other again. This is just... one of those times. I have to believe he'll be back. He wouldn't have gone if he had any choice in the matter." She gave Jamie a half-smile. "I'm glad you didn't insist on staying home. Brodin wouldn't want me to cancel plans just because of him. I'm sure he's fine, wherever he is. I only hope he gets returned sooner rather than later."
Mia switched gears, and shook off the melancholy mood. "So what do you want to do? See the city, get something to eat?"
