Who: Reinette, Doctor, Rose, Jack, Tosh... Whoever wants to come calling?

Reinette was also spending a lot of her time focusing on who she missed. It was hard going to spending the night in her bed alone after waking up beside Ianto. She still remembered his arms around her, feeling so close and safe. She knew that he wanted her to go and have dinner with him, but for her, it was something that was just too hard. She couldn't do it right now. Perhaps after some time had passed.

Then there was the Doctor. She also missed him terribly. She knew in her heart of hearts that he was different, not the same Doctor that she remembered. Time had passed. While she was on her perpetual 'slow path' that she took, he had probably gone and had many illustrious adventures after their parting of the ways. Would he want to spend time with her now or just look to his blonde Rose he had traveled with so long ago?

Reinette was very comfortable. She had been given a very nice room, but to be honest she hadn't seen much of anyone since she moved it. She knew things were hectic, such as Tosh's recovery and the like. She did not want to intrude on Jack and his caring for Toshiko. She came out of her room, briefly, but mostly she just stayed inside. She still knew about Tosh and everyone and she did not want to be a bother to them all.

Though sometimes she wished she had someone to speak with. Slowly venturing out of her room, she headed downstairs to the kitchen for a good cup of tea.

Laughter emanated from the kitchen, Jack's laughter flowing further out then his daughter's. The two had decided to make a special meal for Tosh, but Jack was a passable cook and Kyoko was more than passable. However, the fits of laughter as she would swat her father's hands away if he tried to add somethign Tosh didn't like... well they were creating quite a mess.

"Reinette," Jack said, grinning from ear to ear. "Good to see you out."

"Hi Reinette," Kyoko said, smiling much like her father. She may have her mother's features mostly, but she had her father's eyes, smile and dimples.

Reinette smiled. It was hard not to when both of them were standing there like that. Their laughter was infectious and it made her chuckle just hearing it. Standing in the doorway, she watched, shaking her head.

"Perhaps, Captain, you should take a step back and allow her to do what she is so clearly attempting to do, without your assistance. Lovely as it might be?"

She raised an eyebrow and headed over to the cupboard where she was shown the cups were kept. Slowly she went through the motions of grabbing a cup, heating some water, making some tea for herself, making enough in case they wanted some as well. It was only water, she could always reheat it as well.

And yet, even as she smiled, she inwardly wondered if maybe she shouldn't be here.

"Ha!" Jack said, still grinning. "Wouldn't be as much fun." He tried to toss in a spice but got his hand smacked.

"Daddy stop that! You are going to ruin it," Kyoko said.

"Causing trouble again, Pops?" Tyler asked, coming into the kitchen. He grinned when he saw Reinette and bounded over to her, much like the Doctor. Guess that's what happens when you share a womb with the Doctor's child too. He did miss his twin sister, but at least Doctor Pops was there, so it wasn't too bad.

"Hey Reinette," Tyler said. "Howya doin'?"

"Yes Jack, let her make it. I would rather like living to see till tomorrow if it matters. Unless you do not wish for me to consume whatever is made," she teased. She even winked at him. It felt good to be here with them in a somewhat happy environment.

When Tyler entered, Reinette's smile was a little wider, a little more real. She easily saw the Doctor in him. His grins were ever so infectious.

"Tyler." She sipped her tea. "I am doing well, one could suppose. How are you faring?"

Susan entered the house after a day spent exploring the world she'd landed in. After being in the 'past' and the 'future,' being sometime in the middle was an interesting experience. So many things to get used to. Not to mention the interesting sorts that were literally flying around on a daily basis. Flying people. Fictional people. It was a damn good thing she was a Time Lady or else she'd get a headache just thinking about it.

She was rather lost in her own thoughts when she wandered into the kitchen and stumbled upon a friendly gathering of her new housemates. All connected by the adventures of her Grandfather. Who was back in her life again after so many years gone. Now that was something headache indusing.

"Oh. Hello everybody."

Hearing everyone else in the other room, Rose decided to come see what everyone was talking about and what was going on. "Oi you lot.. what are we up to in here?" she asked with a smile on her face. "Hi all.." she greeted in return.

She eyed Jack, "What on earth are you doing? Lord ... this is about as bad as getting Sarah to cook.. something you totally don't want to do.."

	Rose grinned a little back at Susan, "Well.. honestly I don't know if Jack can cook.. but if he's as good as it as he is other things I'm sure we'll be all right.. 	"Good at... oh." Susan tried to hide the blush as she figured out what exactly she meant about Jack's skills. "Maybe I will attempt to try it. The food. I mean. Not the..." Jack gave his ever present grin, flashing it at them. "You'd know, wouldn't ya, Rose?" he winked at her.

"Daddy!" Kyoko laughed as he tried to sneak a taste of the food. She smacked Tyler's hand with a wooden spoon when he attempted. "Oi, don't you start!"

"Aww come on, Kiki," Tyler said, flashing his impish grin. He walked over and leaned a hip against the counter between Reinette and Susan. "So what leads you ladies down here this fine afternoon?"

	That totally made Rose crack up, "Hey.. if you want to try him.. I'm sure he wouldn't say no.. he never says no, do you?" she smirked at him and Susan both. At Jack's words she stuck out her tongue at him and blew a raspberry. "Well really.. she just.. can't.. I'm not sure what it is.. sometimes she burns things.. but it just always tastes.. weird.." Reinette too had to blush at the rather colourful commentary on one Captain Jack Harkness. Though her own impish smile hinted that maybe she was not so innocent as one might believe. Her smile faded, though, ever so slightly. That way of thought led her to Ianto, and his rather bold movements in what used to be their bed. She forced a smile for Tyler and attempted not to think that way.

"Oh... I... I really was desiring a good cup of tea," she murmured. She looked at everyone and tried to smile, but she just couldn't do it.

"Well, I... I am rather glad then that you aren't allowing me to cook either. I... I always had food prepared for me. I am still attempting to learn myself." Ianto had spoiled her and done most of the cooking. "Well, I... I hope that it is good, whatever is made." She smiled once more at them all, slowly edging her way out of the kitchen.

Susan laughed and smiled at Rose, but edged slightly away from Tyler and avoided his question. Not only was he too young for her tastes, he was far too bold as well.

She did notice how upset Reinette had become and that she was trying very hard to hide it, but could not think of a way to ask why Reinette was so upset without upsetting her further. The quandry was enough to distract Susan into becoming lost in her own thoughts again, staring off into space in the kitchen.

Tyler took a long draw of his water bottle. He wasn't unaware of Susan edging slightly away from him. He shrugged to himself as his mind drifted a bit to Sophie. She was a spitfire and someone he was thinking about often of late. He frowned a little when he saw Reinette scooting towards the door.

Jack noticed as well and swung over to her, slipping an arm around her. "We might have to change that," he said. "I could teach you to cook." He grins down at her, his dimples showing.

"Oh that'll go over well, Daddy," Kyoko said with her father's impish grin. "Oh wait that's an idea. You teach Reinette while I fix this stuff for Mum and then I can fix what you taught her." She loved teasing her father.

Reinette found it very hard not to feel in better spirits in such happy company around her. Jack and his dimples, Tyler and his smile, Kyoko and her infectious laughter, it was all the same to her. Though, somehow, the mere notion of Jack attempting to cook did make her just the slightest bit wary. Just the way Kyoko was stating she’d have to fix whatever he attempted.

“Well…” She chuckled. Reaching out, she wrapped an arm tentatively around Jack, leaning into his touch. “If you shall be preparing with bread and making a sandwich, I will happily enjoy whatever you make. That should be something you can prepare with little to no trouble?”

She looked up at Kyoko. "How is Ms. Toshiko faring?"
