Pepper was rambling, and as serious as the moment was, it did put a small smile on his face. There were times when he really felt like he didn't deserve her, and this was one of them. She'd always given everything of herself for him, and most of the time, he didn't even meet her halfway. He'd used up a good portion of her life just her waiting for him to come around and see that she was what he needed, what he wanted. "I think it was better knowing afterward. I didn't have time to get so attached to the idea that there was a little Anthony Jr of our own growing in there," and he put his hand over her belly, and he could almost imagine what it'd be like to feel that part of her pregnant. "Pepper, I want you to look at me, and believe me when I say this. If...if we don't have a baby, it will be alright between us. We'll survive it, and move on with our lives. Sure, I wonder what a son with your gorgeous red hair and my killer smile would be like, but it's going to be okay if we don't. As I said before, there are children who need a family, too, and those would be very lucky to have you for a mom." His hands came up to cup her face, thumbs rubbing softly over he cheeks as he ignored the bustling crowds around them, like it was only the two of them and he didn't care if strangers witnessed this. "I love you, baby or no baby, will ever change that."
