Closing his eyes, Dean just listened to her go on and on about how him and Solvei would work it out and blah freakin' blah. He didn't care at this point. It wasn't the fact that she lost the baby, it wasn't the fact that she moved on, it was the fact she thought so fucking little of him. Yeah, he lived his life a certain way before her, but after her? Everything changed.
Oh, and Solvei is a bitch.
Dean just grumbled and rubbed his forehead as he hopped up on the counter and sat there.
"No." Was all he said and finished the rest of his drink.
"Emily, you don't fucking get it. Alright? It's more than her being with another guy. It's just ... shit that was between me and her, alright?" Dean almost felt bad for Emily, she was way too worked up and involved with everyone else. She wanted things to be happy with freakin' rainbows and butterflies, even given what she'd been through.
She just didn't understand.
"Not everything is a happy ending, babe." Besides, Dean finally realized, that nothing in his life would ever be a happy ending.
"How's your drink?" He asked her and reached over, taking a sip of her drink. "Hmm, not bad," He said, impressed with his bartending skills. "Let's see what else I can do." Hopping off the counter, he rubbed his hands together, looking over all the alcohol that was sure going to have him pass out in an hour flat.
