He beamed. "Thank you! That's so thoughtful." He ferried the cookies to the kitchen table, and put the milk in the fridge to get cold. His eyes were hidden behind his hair, as usual, though they darted over her, taking her in. She even looked nice.
He blushed at the compliment. "Thanks," he murmured, smiling a little. He didn't really think it was all that much-- a few comfortable couches, some paintings left over from the previous occupant--but he tried to at least keep things clean and neat, and had bought some comfy pillows and furniture to fill the place out a little.
