What: Repercussions of the zomgmarriage!Plot
When/Where: Tonight, the Angel's Library at Oxford
Warnings: High. These two have been holding it in for six millenia. I don't blame them.

Crowley couldn't help but feel... ridiculous, for lack of a better word, given the events of the weekend. He had a very photographic memory, which was replaying in great detail all of the things he said (and did) to a man, no, a boy he had never met before. The exact same things he felt... reluctant (read: terrified) to say (and do) to his Adversary.

In the spirit of correcting this grand injustice- to him, of course- he poof'd himself down to his Angel's library, landing himself right inside the doorframe.

"Angel?"

"To your left, my dear." Aziraphale was sprawled out on the floor, on a red and white checked picnic blanket, with a book and a bottle of wine as promised, and nothing more.

He was, clearly, eager to reunite with his Advesary, and put the events of the weekend past behind them both. He had no ill feelings toward the young lady he had pledged his love to, he found her to be sweet, it was simply an awkward situation all around, and best forgotten.

Brows shot towards his hairline, as he saw the angel spread over the blanket, so blatantly on display. He swallowed, an unnecessary mannerism of nerves he'd picked up from the humans, before attempting to speak.

"And what-" Has he done to deserve this? He couldn't voice as much... "-exactly, has gotten into you, Angel?" Even though the demon's words were full of reproach, he was already nude as well, moving to sit next to Zira on the blanket.

	Zira fanned himself with his hand. "It's rather warm in here, don't you think, dear?" He leaned his head back, shaking out his hair. "So I disrobed. The leather was sticky on my bare back, so I moved to the floor. It's really rather comfortable, don't you think?" He reached out and trailed a finger down Crowley's chest. He would hardly qualify any part of England at night warm, but then that was ignoring the fact that they didn't have to feel temperature unless they felt the need. So he could respect his angel's desire to lie, and move past it.

"I dare say you're right. How silly of me," He reached for the wine- and if he had to lean into the Angel's space to do so, he was certain he wouldn't be blamed. He was there for the wine, after all.

	Crowley puased to nip at Zira's neck, before sitting back. "Of course, my dear, as always." And it was more true than Aziraphale probably realized. The events of the weekend had made Crowley realize exactly what it was he and Zira were doing. What it meant, an as much as it surprised him, he found he... appreciated it. Liked the idea. Zira knew he liked the idea. He had learned from the weekend experience, how he truly did care for his Adversary. It was never meant to be, he knew, but then he and Crowley had been pitted Against each other since the Beginning of Time. Through all the floods and the droughts, the walks across deserts and the erections of cities, through war and peace and everything in between, they had been Side by Side, and after 6000 years, Zira felt he was entitled to finally take something more than passing comfort from the demon.

He rolled his neck back, after Crowley settled. he could feel the heat where Crowley had nipped at his skin, and it felt on fire. Wine goblet in hand, he lifted it up to press the chilled glass against his neck.

	The demon watched him curiously, brows furrowing in concern. "Did I hurt you, dear? I meant it in jest." He took a sip from his own goblet, trying to be more nonchalant about his worry than he felt. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	On an impulse, Crowley bared his teeth and bit down on Aziraphale's neck, sucking just to the point of roughness, in order to mark. He wanted to reclaim the Angel as his own, and decided that was the most obvious route to go about it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Zira gasped, the bite unexpected, and unfamiliar. He groaned, and the hand that braced the ground curled against the floor. Hos other hand darted up to grab hold of Crowley's neck, for something to hold on to. He didn't protest, and rather surrendered to the bite, allowing Crowley to Mark him. The sharpened canines that were a mark of his Demon status pressed hard enough to bruise, although he stopped short of piercing the skin, pulling back to study his work. He pressed one last gentle kiss there, before sitting back altogether, eyes meeting Aziraphale's. He didn't say the word, certain they were visible in his eyes.

His. The Angel was his, not some mortal woman's, and it was obvious the idea had distressed him, even though he was in love with another at the time as well.

	Zira held Crowley's gaze for a moment, before nodding. He closed his eyes and drew his hand up to caress the Mark. It was subtle, but it was there. His. Zira was comfortable in the silence. He poured a little more wine in both their goblets, and sipped his slowly, taking time to savor the taste. He used the quiet to reflect, to consider what he had done. He had no regrets, no hesitation to do it. He loved Crowley, as he always had, from the very Beginning, even before the angel Fell. All angels were made to love one another, of course, but something had been different, with Deminian, and then he'd heard that Deminian Fell, Zira had wept in his grief. He had never stopped loving his friend, and though it had taken 6000 years, he was right where he'd always wanted to be; in Deminian's arms.

The demon could sense the affection radiating off the Angel in waves, and while it used to make him uneasy, he found himself smiling, setting his wine aside to shift over on the blanket, to rest shoulder-to-shoulder with his love. The touch of skin was subtle, gentle, and yet it felt like fire to him, the need between them almost palpable.

"Dear, I- that is to say, I..." He swallowed again, quietly cursing at himself.

"I love you, Angel." It was said matter-of-factly, with a small nod at the end, as if it had been difficult to say. Which it had, if he was honest with himself- it wasn't a matter of not feeling it. But demons weren't meant to feel such things, let alone talk about them. Still, seeing his Love, with his Mark on his neck, made him feel as if the Words would finalize the moment. Give it Meaning.

Zira smiled. He understood what the moment meant to Crowley. it meant the same to him, but on a different level because he didn't resist the way the demon had.

He reached up, palming the other's face. "Kiss me, love. And then I want to take your True Mark." If was an old practice, long forgotten, by which angels used to place a Mark over those they protected, back when angels commonly walked the earth among men.

	Sighing, the demon relaxed at that, nodding into his love's hand. He slid forward to press his lips to the Angels, moving his hand into Zira's hair to hold him close. Emotion wasn't an easy thing for a demon, and it was close to a pain, but he would gladly endure it, to have his Angel so fully. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Zira shifted a leg, moving marginally closer to Crowley. They were close as they could be, and pressed skin to skin as they kissed. He sighed deeply, wanting nothing more than to give himself fully to Crowley. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Crowley pressed right back against his Love, needing the touch as he gave himself over to the moment. It took energy, to truly Mark someone, especially considering the demon wasn't in Grace. Still, he wanted to try, needed to, so he moved back just as much as necessary, to look down at his love.

"Lie back, Angel," As he let his love move, he ran the tip of his index finger against one of his canines, hard enough to draw blood.

	Zira lay back, prone and exposed. He wiggled a little to find a comfortable position, and drew an arm to rest under his head. He was slightly nervous, but he trusted Crowley, and he wanted this. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

The demon allowed the blood to bead on his finger, until he had enough to work with, before settling down to start the process. Carefully, he drew his finger in an even-armed cross over the Angel's heart, the Oldest sigil of protection known. The skin protested, the feel of the blood on it a burn akin to a sharp flame; his other hand moved up to share what little healing power he possessed, as he started to murmur the Promise, and sign his Mark.

Aziraphale mouthed the incantation along with Crowley, knowing the words fully by rote, knowing the promise and the power behind the words. His eyes closed, his back arched, his hands fisted to fight off the first stabs of pain, the fire flaring across his heart, in the Mark of the Cross, and then Crowley's, no Deminian's, sigil.

He didn't actually need to breathe, but it was old habit, and he held a breath in his lungs as Crowley worked. It seemed an eternity before the Mark was done, and Zira could at last release his breath and uncurl his hands. With pain shining in his eyes, he smiled at Crowley, and reached a hand out to him, without words.
