Lorna trudged into the cafe. She flopped down onto the couch, her head leaning back against the back.

Today had been a very annoying, rough day. She did not approve.

	Alex came from the corner and gently lifted her in his arms, cradling her against his body. "Hey, beautiful. You look tired." He carried her to the big, comfortable easy chair in the corner and settled her into it. She nodded. "Yes. I wanted to. A lot."

She sighed, grabbing the chocolate. Mmmmm, brownie. "First, it was a long ass busy day. Then this guy comes in, real old bastard, and starts ripping on me for being a punk, because of my hair. He's not even my customer, so I ignore him, until he gets up in my face. And when I answer him, he starts going off on America, like I'm responsible for anything they do over there. Then when my boss asks him to leave, he accuses me of sleeping with him to get my job. I don't know what crawled up his ass and died, but I hope it was toxic."
