Big Brother. The pain of the dial O'Brien controlled. All the mental torture he went through. Two plus two is five.... With a sob he woke up from his nightmare, clinging to his pillow as he pretended it was someone - anyone - that could comfort him. Once the initial shock of the nightmare was gone, so were the sobs and he was left a sniffling mess. Sliding out of bed he put on his glasses and made his way to Bree's room, peeking inside.
She was gone and suddenly he remembered everything. His daughter was away, had been gone for weeks and thus his only close comfort was gone. That made him cry all the more, eyes closed tightly as he sniffled and tried to wipe away the tears. Grabbing one of her pillows he walked through the house with it, hugging it close to his chest, only letting go to put on proper clothes for outside. Getting on a pair of rain boots and a jacket he finally returned to hugging the pillow as he stepped out of the house, locking the door behind him.
Catching a taxi he ended up at O'Brien's home, in front of the other man's door. With a pathetic little sniffle he reached up and rang the doorbell, not really thinking about how O'Brien was probably asleep.
