Sammy was scared to be alone. It was dark and too hot. And he was hungry.

Scared! HOT! HUNGRYYYYYYY!!!!!

He opened his mouth and wailed, little fists waving at the injustice of it all.

Dean blinked when he heard a baby wailing from upstairs. He jogged up the stairs leading to the second floor, taking them two by two, blinking when the wailing came from Sam's room. Opening the door, the sound was hard to locate at first because it was buried in blankets, but once he moved to the bed, the baby wasn't hard to find.

He picked it up and cradled it to his chest instinctively, blinking. "Sam - no, that's too fucking weird. You can't be Sam." He held the baby at arm's length, examining it. It had Sammy's huge head. And it looked eerily familiar. He shook his head and tucked the baby into an arm as he looked around the room for anything Sam might have left. A note that said "Oh, I found a baby that looks a lot like me, be back later."

	He wasn't alone anymore, which was good. And the hot had gone away, and now he had DEAN. Dean! This beat out his hunger, momentarily and he flailed his legs happily and waved his fists in triumph, trying to catch the shiny thing on Dean's shirt. Dean!! Yay! Ooooooh...shiny thing.... Dean blinked for a moment at how the kid had calmed down the second that he'd picked him up. At least he assumed it was a him, he wasn't totally sure.

"Fuck, I mean - shit. Crap. Dang. Okay. Fudge, I need baby shi - stuff." He'd figure out where the baby had come from after he got diapers and formula and stuff. One of the perks of being rich was that he could call someone and have them get it for him, no questions asked.

"Yeah, can you get me some formula, and some diapers for a ... oh, dunno, just get me one of every size up to about twenty pounds. Yeah, friend brought a baby over when they came to visit, but forgot supplies. Hurry up, ASAP." He put down his cell phone, then couldn't help himself. He leaned over the baby, tickling the thing's chubby tummy. "Don't worry little man. Or lady. Dunno. I'm not checking out your junk until I've got something to cover it up with."

	"Eh, aaaayyyyeeee." Sammy said, because vowel sounds were fun. Dean tickled his belly and that was fun! He giggled and did his best to flash his dimples. Dean was so silly. Funny! 	Dean made a farting noise with his mouth - something he was strangely good at to begin with - and smiled at the baby. 	Sammy giggled again, dimples blazing. Dean was hi-larious! He grasped the finger being offered to him and tried to taste it to see what it was. Sammy gummed down on it for a second before the shiny thing sparkled again and he reached chubby fingers out to claim it as his own. Ooooooo. Shiny shiny shiny...SafewarmDeanhappy. Dean couldn't help smiling to himself for a moment as the baby gummed his finger. "Good chompers there, buddy." He cradled the baby, hand supporting its head, and rocked it gently while he waited for the food delivery.

After about half an hour of humming Motörhead under his breath to the little person, the doorbell rang. Roxy ran for it, barking shrilly, and Dean shushed her as he went to get the package.

The assistant was worth the money. He'd brought four kinds of forumla, diapers in every size, baby food, baby cereal, bottles, toys, blankets, a playpen, and a black Snugli. Dean sighed and strapped it on as he went over to the computer to ask for help. "I wonder if you're someone's baby? What if the vortex dumped you here?" Once he'd tapped in a message, he tried to remember how to make a bottle. He remembered finally about boiling it until it was warm, and he set about pouring the liquid into a bottle before getting the pan of water ready. While it boiled, he put the baby on the counter and grabbed a few different size diapers. "Let's see if you're smelly, little person."

Sammy was very happy to stay snuggled close to Dean. It made him feel safe and happy. Dean was a safe place, a warm thing, a happy feeling.

So when Dean put him down and suddenly his butt got cold, Sammy squawked and flailed because his butt was not meant for cold and now it was wet! WET! Wet was NOT GOOD. Sammy's fists balled up again, for the love of humanity! He wailed.

Dean! COLD!! COLD! WEEETTTTT!!! WET WET WET!!!

Dean blinked as the baby peed on him.

"Goddamnit, Sammy - " For some reason, he remembered things like this happening to him a lot when he was little. The words had come without really thinking, and he grabbed a wetwipe to rub Sam down before taking off his own shirt.

"As long as I'm being crazy. Sam. Sammy?" He tried out saying his brother's name to the baby, seeing if there was any reaction as he diapered the kid up.

Sammy gurgled and babbled, now that his butt was no longer cold, he was a happy camper. Sort of. He was hungry, and he needed to stress the importance of food and now to his brother.

"Aeeeee." He waved his hands around and brought his legs up. Dean picked him up again, and Sammy snuggled right up to his warm, bare skin. His fist beat upon Dean's collarbone while he tasted the skin in front of him to see what it was. Sammy's belly gurgled.

Dean..deandeandean. Warmhappysafe. Hungry! Hungry, now! Feed me!

"Really must be goin' crazy. Let me test your bottle, 'kay?" Dean took it from the water and wiped it off with a towel, testing it on his wrist. It didn't burn, and was just plain warm. He moved Sam as far from the water as he could with one hip while reaching out to turn off the water with the other. Roxy had padded over to see what was happening, and Dean went back to the living room with Sammy and the bottle in tow. He grabbed a burp blanket and slung it over one shoulder before letting Sammy have the bottle. Roxy sniffed one of Sam's feet, giving it an inquisitive lick.

Ohhhhh the bottle was good. It was warm and perfect and YUM. FOOD. Sammy's eyes rolled back into his head, blissfully as he greedily sucked down the food.

Something cold and wet nudged his foot, but he was very busy eating. He tried to see what it was for a moment, but didn't really care because he had food, Dean and a warm soft place to be. His belly was warming up and getting filled. Sammy grabbed one of Dean's fingers and held on while he ate like it was going out of style.

Dean couldn't help smiling as he watched Sam eat, flexing his finger gently. "Calm down, 'ammy, you're gonna get a stomachache." He should've been more bothered by how easily he accepted that the infant was his brother, but hell. He'd been a girl for a week, and lived through WWII. The place had thrown weirder curveballs.

Besides. Sam was his little brother through everything, and Dean was gonna take care of him. Roxy had moved to the other end of the couch to nap, satisified that the small noisy thing wasn't a threat.

Sammy watched Dean's mouth move, and looked into his eyes when he spoke to him. He felt the finger he was grasping move, so he held onto it tighter and continued to eat.

Before long, he found that he couldn't eat anymore but he wasn't all that full yet. He stopped sucking and looked around. His belly felt funny, like bubbles. He kicked his feet a few times.

Deandeandean. Sammy watched his brother, intently.

Dean remembered this part well enough and picked Sammy up, placing his head on his shoulder. He patted his back gently, making sure Sam's head was firmly on the burp blanket. Getting peed on was enough for one day; he didn't want to get spat up on as well.

"C'mon, 'ammy, burp." He chuckled at the kicking feet, and started to hum some Zeppelin. Maybe it'd sink in and he'd like better music when he got back to being Huge Sammy.

Sammy got used to the direction change and felt the bubbles doing bubbly things in his belly. He twisted his head in the direction of the voice and suddenly felt the bubbles go away! His mouth made a funny noise, and so did his butt. It made him smile, that funny feeling.

But it also made him hungry for the rest of his food. He made impatient noises at Dean, who was taking far too long.

Dean couldn't help laughing, swinging Sam back down to give him the rest of his bottle. "You know, you're gonna stay really good at that for the rest of your life. Stinkier, though. You get way stinkier. Which is really an accomplishment."

He extended his finger for Sam to hold again, still smiling, though it was somewhat strained. "You better hurry up and get big again soon, you hear me?"

	Sammy watched Dean's face while he drank the rest of his bottle. After a while, his eyes started to drift shut but he still held on to Dean's finger tightly. He was getting very sleepy, and this seemed like a wonderful place to take a nap. When he was finished eating, he nuzzled into Dean's chest and fell asleep. Dean, warmhappysafe...sleepy. 	Dean smiled and leaned down to kiss Sam's forehead, sighing a little bit. He really really hoped someone came over soon so he could shower. But right then, things weren't half bad. Sam being a baby sure beat Nazis. (Reply to this) (Parent)
