Once they were passed the door, he didn't figure that they were going to be running into any problems, and if they did, Kyle was already working on an explanation in his head. In truth, he had only grabbed her hand because it was easier to phase them both through the door that way, it took less effort, not that either way would have required that much. Now that they were on the other side, the cloak of invisibility had disappeared, but he was still holding her hand within his own, having not really thought to let go of it.
They were moving down the hall together, until one of the rooms they reached was home to the two children, which Sol confirmed by glancing inside. The big smile on her lips gave it all away. "You can go in before me. Wouldn't want to startle them." He knew the two kids would recognize Solvei, that would give them some sense of comfort, and while she was inside, he could allow himself to change appearance, it didn't really take much, to be honest.
Sending out a ping into the room, he confirmed what Sol already knew, that the parents were inside. Maybe they'd left to bring something back for the kids, that was what he hoped, as opposed to the children being alone in this world.
