"Never really one for cops either. Or sheriffs, FBI, the like either." That was a story for another day. He knew about her uncle but that was all for now. She was sure that they'd have lots more times where they could swap stories on another day.
She looked at him questioningly when he grabbed her hand but didn't say anything about it. There was a bond between them that she recognized so she trusted him and whatever he decided to do. "Think I'll stick to the floor for now." She told him with a twinkle in her eye as they went through the doors. She shook her head. "Nope. Just now we have to look out for anyone that might come by."
Starting to look into the rooms down the hallway, Sol kept a look out as she went. She hadn't let go of his hand and she really hadn't thought to let go either. Finally, which really wasn't that long, only a few seconds, she looked into a room where both of the kids were in together like she hoped. Her face softened and a big smile came across her face. "Want me to go in and you can come in after and do the hero thing or do you want to come in with me?" Sol didn't care either way. She knew that the kids would probably like to see a real live super hero like Kyle though.
She couldn't help but take another look through the window. Their parents weren't in there with them right now and she hoped that they were just off somewhere else. Her heart would break if she found out that they hadn't found the parents. Or even worse yet, that the kids were somehow swept up in the vortex just like Sol and Kyle had.
