The flush in her cheeks was easily noticed by him, and it was a different side of her, one that other people rarely saw. His eyes were still traveling over her body, though it hadn't been his intention to stare, it was simply becoming difficult not to. This had been delayed for as long as it could be. She had always been his partner, and he had done his best to keep it that way, whether that required flat out denying any attraction to her, or other methods. He couldn't do that right now, not after what had just happened a few minutes ago, and the fact that she was so close. And warm, and he could only imagine soft as well.
"Wouldn't be here if I wasn't." She was asking for the same reasons that he had asked, to make sure, to give the other person an option of backing out if they were uncertain. That wasn't going to happen, not this time around, and he was almost completely on top of her. So they had kissed once, under the mistletoe, but this was something entirely different. It had his heart racing and his body temperature rising, or at least it felt that way. It came down to this, and Booth had usually been one to take the iniative, though he wasn't sure how Temperance would act in this situation.
He wasn't certain how long had passed before he leaned down and pressed their lips together. It wasn't hesitant or timid like their first one had initially been. Was it because he was bold? Maybe, or just the level of excitement he was feeling was too much to contain at that moment. He was kissing her deeply already, and started to lower his body down against her own, though he continued to support his own weight.
