"Even with you help you prevailed." Sol was convinced that he was strong and kind and had done great things. In one short night she had found someone that she was definitely proud to consider a friend.
Even though he told her that she didn't deserve it she wasn't so sure right now. There were people that she'd failed to save. Even though she was a little girl at the time she still felt responsible for her parent's death. And now, Dean had been ripped away from her. When she had gotten here she at least felt a little comforted by the fact that she'd have the baby still. A part of him that she would have, but that wasn't the case.
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't." Sol tried to smile for him when he said that he wished that he could change things for her but it just didn't make it. She leaned into his hand a little bit when he brushed back some of her hair and put a hand to his hand. "I think that you're the best thing that's happened to me since I came here." Really, that is what she felt and she wasn't ashamed to admit it. She tried to brush off what she just said just in case that had made him uncomfortable. "I normally am not a crier. Guess you've seen multiple sides of Sol tonight."
Looking up at the sky she couldn't believed that they had talked for this long. The sky was starting to lighten a little bit and she knew that on the other side of the building the sun was probably coming up at the horizon. Her crew would be here soon to start the baking.
