He blinked for a moment, trying to digest every last word she'd all but spit at him. Actually, he figured she might have punctuated all of it with her spitting in his face at this point.
He'd waited until he heard a door slam upstairs before he followed her. He wasn't about to give her the chance to have a repeat performance of the stair thing. He took a deep breath and exhaled, sighing as he shook his head. When he got upstairs, he just stood outside of her room for a moment before he tested the doorknob, checking to see if she'd locked him out. When he found it open, he cracked it and poked his head inside to see where she was.
