"Don't worry about mother's day.. I've had.. shitty mothers day's my whole life and I wasn't even a mother.." she gave a crooked little grin and then leaned in and kissed him gently on the lips. "I promise I'm not going anywhere until you get rid of me.. I wouldn't leave you alone.." she took his hand and helped him up out of his chair and then grabbed up her bag so that she could take them upstairs. "Need anything before I put you into bed?"
