Where: Pepper's home in LA
When: Midday Sunday
Why: Oh God, do I need to list the reasons? He's obviously screwed up.
Rating: Dunno just yet. Likely to be very heartbreaking.
Lying to Remy was one thing. Lying to her that he was about to go see another woman was another. And it killed him inside just a little each time he recited said lie. He said he'd be fine, that he was just going to see about some things and to find her the best Mother's Day gift he could find. It was her first one, after all. He'd kissed her goodbye and he'd be home that night.
He had his plane take him to Los Angeles because he knew his body just couldn't handle the suit or that portkey thing right now. His arm was in a sling, and he looked a little better than he had the night before. He'd shaved and showered and the color had come back into his face. He was in pain, but he vowed he'd go see her with a clear head and apologize, if she'd even see him. He'd told her to leave her alone. She didn't want him in her life.
But Tony Stark was stubborn, and he knew both of them were hurting for different reasons, but there had to be some kind of resolution in this visit. He just couldn't let her fall to the wayside and not be there to catch her. He always had been. He arrived in Los Angeles in a couple of hours, and he could feel the knots in his stomach as the car took him to her residence.
