What: Esme's starting more shit
Warnings: Possibly some profanity.
Esme had been slow and calculating in her approach. Her rising to become the unofficial leader of the Cuckoos seemed only natural. The other girls hadn't even picked up on Esme's increasing control over their actions and thoughts.
It would have been much easier if Sophie wasn't dating a telepath. Simply impersonating Sophie would not be enough. Sophie and Quentin had a mental link, and he would see through Esme in a second. It had to be more than an illusion.
Over the past months, Esme had been wearing Sophie down. It didn't take much convincing to turn the four-in-one's attitudes against Sophie. Esme pushed them further and further in their hostility toward the girl, slowly breaking Sophie's barriers down. Sophie had been feeling more depressed, and acting out of her usual self.
Sophie had shut herself in her room, as she had several days over the past week.
