"It's possible it wasn't just me who got a note like that," Romilda pointed out. "This person obviously has problems with the Ministry. I mean, if they had some sort of agenda, what good would it do them to turn just one hit witch against the Ministry? Right? It'd have to be more widespread than that."
But that was what Remus Lupin was doing, too. He was trying to tell people that the Ministry had lied, covered something up. Which wasn't unforgivable, was it? People made mistakes, and Romilda knew that it had been tough for them to catch the right werewolf. It had been months and months of hunting for him and they still hadn't done it. Maybe they'd just caught a werewolf who was also dangerous and wanted to reassure everyone that the problem was solved... but why, then, didn't they just say that they had mistaken the identity of the werewolf in the first place, and bring charges against the one they had caught?
"Death Eaters are just a part of the Ministry now," she said with a shrug. "Like a political party or something, you know? Their name might sound scary, but that doesn't mean they are people we should be scared of. Names don't mean much. You can take a sweet fluffy dog and name it Killer and that wouldn't make it a Killer."
