Satisfied with a good-looking book stuffed with fictional Wizard tales and another on the history of certain spells, which could serve for inspiration on how to make something of her own, Shane continued down the stack and on to the next one. Feeling the weight of the books she carried, she put the pile down for a moment, looking for a basket while simultaneously searching for the last thing on her mind.
Instead of what she wanted, Shane found Levi, nearly rushing through the store and slowing (a little) as he got closer. He hadn't noticed her just yet but it didn't look like he planned to turn anytime soon and she couldn't just run away. It was always awkward dealing with an ex-boyfriend...especially when it ended as badly as they did. As he came closer, Shane briefly tilted her head, readjusting her hat, trying to hide and make sure she looked good all the same. Despite everything, Levi still had dangerously good looks (and who knew what other nice stuff he had going on).
"Hey!" Shane said, the natural friendly nature of her smile bursting onto her face. She couldn't control it and wanted to make sure he knew that she was fine with running into him. Even if she wasn't.
