Gilbert felt his cheeks heat up just slightly at her words. "I am sure I am nowhere near as talented as someone from St. Mungo's," he said quietly as he tried to keep himself from blushing more. There was really no reason for all this blushing anyway. It was just a compliment after all. People gave other people compliments all the time. It was perfectly normal behaviour. He covered his mouth to keep from laughing at her facial expression. Oh, that was rather amusing.
"Perhaps not, but you would hardly be you," he said quietly before adding, "And I rather like you...as you." Did that make any sense? Then her last words hit him and he let out a small sigh. Things still had a habit of getting hazy when he thought on it too long, but it was getting easier to remember. "I am afraid we may." He was uncertain how he felt about that. He wanted to stop whatever was going to happen, but he certainly did not wish to have to fight to do it.
