Zach had read - and learned - more charms in the past week than he had during the first few years at Hogwarts, to say the least. Attempting to find an absence was difficult, but he certainly could get creative with his magic. Gilbert and Zach were going to make a new charm, but there hadn't really been a spark of an idea as to what. And that's what the reading was for. He was halfway through a rather large book on complex charms - Zach knew the magic for the fidelius charm now, though he didn't think he would want to perform it - when an interdepartmental memo flew through the door.
An immediate burst of adrenaline pumped through his system because Fletcher had said Monday or Tuesday, but Zach kept the book open, as if it were any other memo. Actually, they didn't get that many memos down in Experimental Charms, unless it was that something had wandered off. Some charmed items did that.
His eyes scanned the message briefly, and the memory of explosions rocking the door kept the smile from his face. Marking his spot and closing the book, Zach gave Gilbert notice of where he was going - why he was leaving - and was off. He doubted Gilbert cared, but Fletcher had made it all official. The lift couldn't come fast enough though, in Zach's opinion. Inside his pocket, his fingers tapped against his leg.
Other than visiting Romilda, Zach hadn't really been in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement before, but he managed to find his way, seeing the door to the office...the door to Fletcher's office. Which had a desk. A large desk, Zach bet. Bloody hell he was looking forward to being 'asked a few questions.' "Hello, sir," Zach spoke politely. The door was open. "Coming as requested."
