Zach had gotten off work early, as promised. Being at the tail end of a project made that easier. There was an awful lot of writing to do, so that everything was well documented and somewhere for other people to find. Zach doubted the magic would catch on that quickly. Most people didn't bother to look something like that up until they'd encountered a situation where already knowing it would help. And he had bought dinner...which was more of an overload of food that was larger than Romilda's feasts, and that was saying something.
He also had made hot cocoa because Colin felt like the type to prefer hot cocoa over tea, though Zach didn't know if it were true or not. And there were marshmallows in the chocolate. Mmmm. He showered as well, just briefly, to be clean. He had promised to answer quickly, so being in the shower was no place to be. They were just going to be lounging, so he had dressed in clothes that were at times pajamas - pajama pants, a t-shirt. The shirt fit him well, yes, because Zach always cared a little bit about his appearance, for himself.
And the doorbell rang...three times! Colin! Zach ran to the door, skidding to a stop and nearly hitting it. But he opened the door quickly to suddenly see Colin falling toward him. Zach caught him, pulling him into a hug. "Heeey," Zach grinned, "You're freezing! Get in here! Your coat is practically frozen!" He shut the door behind them and focused on Colin.
