He hadn't thought much before he spoke, but that was a general trait of his, especially when flirting with cute men. Instinct far more than plan came into it. Yes Zach had hoped to run into Fred at the Leaky, but that had been the extent of his planning. For a moment, Zach did wonder if he had said something to upset George - or maybe Fred and George knew it? Zach didn't mean insult to either of them. If Fred weren't interested in men at all, then Zach was naturally more interested in George. Though, he had to admit, flirting with straight blokes was awfully fun at times, and Fred had been a lot of fun. But there was a whole...twin thing, and they tended to have their own...whatnot, and perhaps he had crossed a line.
But George spoke again. And Zach had no idea how far his luck could press, but pressing his luck wasn't what he was interested in. If neither of them were interested, he was fine. And neither of them struck him as the type that wanted to be greatly pursued and play hard to get. "I'm happy with whatever the fates decide," Zach replied. It depended as much on them as on him.
