There was no immediate appearance of a Patronus, which probably meant that she had been safe when Harry's message had arrived. Or, it occurred to him suddenly, Death Eaters had descended on her so quickly that she hadn't been able to send a message, and they might have been able to hear his message anyway. Unless his Patronus was smart enough to disappear when Death Eaters arrived? Harry didn't know if it could do that -- he hoped so, it would make him much less worried about using this method of communication, but since he couldn't be sure...
He should hide. He hadn't chosen the best spot for hiding, since he'd wanted to be able to see fairly well in all directions to ensure that they weren't being approached, watched, or overheard, but there was some cover. He crouched behind a large boulder, gripping his wand tight, heart pounding in anticipation. If the Death Eaters were coming, it wouldn't be long now.
But when he heard the pop of Apparation, it wasn't a Death Eater that appeared, it was Ginny. She looked unhurt, and Harry was utterly relieved to see her. He waited a long moment to see if anyone else would follow, and then stood up, keeping his wand at his side. Just because she'd made it here didn't mean they were safe.
"Ginny," he said, offering her a small smile. He was stressed, and hadn't been sleeping well, especially when Ron was out, especially with the thought of what he might be doing with those Death Eaters, even if the Death Eaters didn't turn on him and kill him outright. "Um, how are you?"
