They hadn't gone anywhere near the word 'love' yet, but Theodore certainly had feelings for Tracey. They had nothing to do with her blood status (he wasn't even sure what that was, actually, though from all the evidence, he could eliminate Muggleborn) and everything to do with exactly who she was. The more he learned about her, the more she opened up, the more he liked her.
"I know," he said, sighing. He wanted to apologize again, but it wasn't his fault that he couldn't convince her parents otherwise. He wasn't entirely useless, though. He could help to get Blaine's new victim to safety, and maybe, just maybe, now that he was in the picture, Tracey would be able to connect with her parents in the way that she hoped.
He loosened his hold on her to allow her to move when she requested that they sit down, and moved with her back to the couch, keeping one arm around her shoulders. "Tamara?" he asked quietly, since that was the person she had mentioned, a name he hadn't heard before.
