Felixa was determined. She tried to explore the paces a bit, the options, just to see if the only issue was being in pain or if it were actually worse for her ankle. But there weren't any signs that Felixa saw that made a faster pace seem dangerous. Pain she could take, and if they got that much closer, they were that much better off. And talking took the edge off. So she moved as quickly as she could, still not as fast as she liked, but Felixa found the pace and promptly chose not to think about walking anymore. Thinking about the pain didn't help.
