Su frowned, yet again. "So she only told you because he was asking about you? That's still... well, it's still kind of wrong. He's your son as much as he's hers, you should have known from the start." She sighed and then said, "But I guess at the same time I'm almost glad she didn't horrible as that is." Shaking her head, Su pushed those thoughts away. "Of course he's brilliant! He's yours, after all, and you're the smartest bloke I know."
She wanted to be angry on his behalf, but it was a little harder when he was curling closer to her like that. She couldn't help but shift closer herself. Laughing when he did, Su replied, "From now on, I'm just going to pretend that's how it happened. Much better than thinking about the alternative, after all." Even though she and Kevin obviously hadn't been together then. No one like to imagine their boyfriend with another girl.
