"I do like your mum," Patience said, smiling widely despite herself. "I wouldn't mind doing her a favor." She gave his hand a squeeze as she got to her feet, following him into the kitchen. "Do you have any tea? If not, I'll take water."
She wasn't much of a firewhiskey drinker, sticking mostly to water, juice, and warm beverages, but at the moment she really wasn't sure whether she could keep anything down. Something warm and not too heavy to settle her stomach would be perfect, but it wasn't like she was about to be sick, and she had plenty of tea at home.
