"I think they'd look at me suspiciously if I started saying things like that," Patience said with a laugh. The laugh took her by surprise, but it felt good, too. Of course, it wasn't surprising that he'd made her laugh, that had always been one of Fred's talents. "But I'll take the tip about the banishing charm. Thanks."
She had never actually gone into one of those meetings thinking that they were analyzing what she said. She'd never really worried about anything like that before. After all, she was a pureblood, she was loyal to her sister who was a Death Eater, and she'd been under their spell, in their trance. She'd never needed to worry.
She still didn't need to worry. She had secrets, yes, but she was still loyal to Chastity, wasn't that the most important thing? Well, she needed to talk to her sister, but there was no doubt in her mind that she would continue to stand at her sister's side, even if she and her twin lost the ground they'd gained recently in repairing their relationship. How much of that had been because of this?
"It will be so much easier when I sort everything out," she said with a sigh. She felt slightly more composed, thanks to him, but there were so many things she had to think about. "I feel like there are so many things I just don't know. About the world, about the people I've been talking to, even about my sister... and she's my twin, how do I not know things about my twin sister?"
She knew that Fred was wary of her sister, but he ought to understand that much, at least. Being part of a twin relationship was one of the things they had in common.
