"No. I don't want an apology, I'm not...looking for anything." Honestly, the only reason they were here right now is because Elliot was confused. When he was a baby, his "mommy" and "daddy" nouns were misplaced and they tried correcting him. He was getting to know Shane as his mum but that left the dad part open and that's when she started to feel horrible.
"He's somewhere else right now. I figured it'd be easier if he wasn't here when you first found out. But, if you want to meet him, then yeah, that'd be nice," she smiled at the thought. It would be cute in a way.
"I just couldn't take care of a baby. I was eighteen, you were in hiding, it would have just been me. And telling everyone..." She shook her head at the thought of being that girl to everyone else. "My aunt and uncle live here and help out and I try to come as much as often until..." She trailed off again, not sure of what went there. It had already been more than three years. Until she had a stable job, home, relationship? It was too much; she didn't like to think about it.
