"I'm glad someone loves it, at least," she grinned, rubbing Jager's mane in a downward rhythm. Playing with animals was probably the best relaxation therapy ever. She looked back down at her bag and then back to Duke. "One chocolate and one blueberry, to go with our coffees," she confirmed, all too amused that they were still sitting in the entryway and that she didn't mind in the least.
Sure, now, that he wasn't getting the scones, Jager jumped off Pansy's lap and onto Duke's. She playfully narrowed her eyes at the dog but leaned forward to scratch his ear, anyway. "You're welcome to have one now," her stomach growled lightly and made her let out a small laugh. She'd not eaten yet that day. Work had been mad up until the point when she'd left to grab coffee and scones and come here. Maybe that was why she'd grabbed scones in the first place. Hmm.
