Duke's place was already far nicer than her own, but she felt comfortable in either setting. She was adaptable, flexible and she wasn't intimidated by her surroundings. She smiled into the chaste kiss and passed the coffees off to him as she stepped into the entryway. "Why, thank you, Mr. Duke," she chuckled but was soon distracted by the small bundle of energy that came bounding toward her, making plenty of noise for such a small thing.
"Oo, you must be Jager!" she exclaimed, crouching down right there to greet the new puppy. He was really, really adorable and, being an animal person, she had a stupid grin on her face while she tentatively played with him. She held out her hand to let him sniff it before he hesitantly licked her hand and then started jumping around her excitedly. She should have known it would happen, but she was taken off guard when Jager jumped over her knees and landed on her bag, the force of which knocked her backward onto her bum. She laughed out loud and pulled the excited puppy onto her lap. "No, no, those scones aren't for you, sir. But I do have a present for you!" She laughed again as the puppy licked at her chin.
