There were some things Colin was aware he was missing out on, but he hadn't imagined the whole world was one of them. How did you even miss out on the whole world? He didn't understand the concept. The whole world? "Like I've hardly eaten?" He didn't really want to admit that hardly eating was something he'd been concerned about. Sure, they had money, but things could happen. What if they had to go somewhere where they couldn't get much food? He paled a little without meaning to.
He worked to talk himself down from that. No. They would be okay. Dennis wouldn't starve because he'd made a grave mistake. He would be fine. They would all be fine. He focused back on the conversation they were having. He was distracting? "Oh. I didn't mean to be. I'm sorry. You will forgive me for distracting you from eating, won't you?" He was feeling a bit off now. It was very unusual, really. He stared at his plate for a moment, eating some more of his food.
"I promise to try to be less distracting now." He chewed on his lower lip, frowning slightly. "Please eat. It will be all my fault if you haven't. Then what will I tell Justin? I accidentally starved your friend when he took me to lunch. It doesn't sound very nice."
