Had Colin seen the look of shock on Zach's face, he might have felt even more distraught at his lack of knowledge of Indian food. He didn't mean to have so little experience with such things. It was just something that happened when you had to be careful with money. Their mum made good food, but it was nothing really out of the ordinary. It was mostly regular English style dishes.
Colin felt that hand lifting his chin again. He looked up at him, leaning into the touch just slightly as he smiled. He blinked a few times at the mention of cherry popping. Why would someone pop cherries? Also, what in Merlin's name was a curry cherry? He'd never heard of one before. Was it different from a regular cherry? He liked cherries. They were really quite tasty and sweet.
The next thing he was aware of, Zach's hand was around his shoulder and they were on their way to have curry...or something. He glanced up at Zach quietly before asking, "What exactly is a curry cherry? I have never heard of one before? Do Indian restaurants grow their own sort of cherries? And why do you pop them? Are they like balloons?"
